Notes from the deeds of the Albion give the owners and mortgagers: on 16 March 1839, James Thorp paid £220.16 for the site. The site was described as 299yds, b/se (78ft) by Dunkirk St (new), b/sw (28ft 9ins) by Albion Hill.
On 4th April 1842, mortgaged to Elizabeth Davis, together with three lately erected messuages.
17th January 1868, sold to John Long for £930, described as nos 11,13,15 Dunkirk St, together with the Albion Inn.
14th October 1881, sold to William Langmore & Samuel Nevins Bankhart (Brewers), for £1500.
2nd February 1897, sold to All Saints Brewery Company Ltd.
On the Albion’s closing, it was sold to F V West for £870, on 25th of June 1923.
Three months later on the 21st of September 1923, merchant F. M. George bought the ex-Albion for £1200. The Council purchased the site on 5th of October 1949 for £2500.
