Strictly speaking part of the Grand Hotel, (dealt with in the Granby Street section) a separate entrance in Belvoir Street sets it apart.

The Belvoir bar a popular venue in the 1960s, eventually after some changes became the French Connection by the 1990s.

Other names have been used in the Grand Hotel complex such as Simons Bar and Arts Bar, but their entrance has been mainly in Granby Street.

By the year 2000, it became Morgan’s Sports Bar, and closed early 2001 and became a retail shop.
