Little else is known apart from an LC article when Thomas Green of the Goat Bon Street was charged with opening illegal hours on the 18th of January, 1833, information given by Moses Pegg.
Thomas Green produced four witnesses to contradict the truth of Pegg’s statement, but so different was the testimony of the four when examined by the magistrates that they decided to convict Green. He was fined £2, with a warning that if he or any of his witnesses were found to have perjured themselves, they would be committed to trial.
A Goat is also recorded in 1727 recognizance orders.
