Another adaptation of an old Victorian building into a café-bar, this one opened as the Loaf in March 2000 – note the fine cupola. The Braunstone Gate Inn stands next door.
In 2014, saw new owners and a change of name to the Sugar Loaf.

After Sugar Loaf two or three businesses followed, mostly restaurants. 2017, saw a pizza bar and music bar, the Transylvania.

Finally in September 2018, Elmesthorpe brewery opened the Dog House Bar, a gin and rum lounge,
