There is one reference of the Haunch of Venison, on Cheapside, in the 1815 directory. Its exact location is unknown.
An advert dated 1817 read: ‘TO BE LET… A very good public House in full business, the Haunch of Venison in the Market Place, the f&f which are very small, must be taken at fair value. To be let and entered upon immediately, this will not be advertised any more’ July 21st 1817.
