An 1865 advert referred to ‘that newly erected well accustomed beer house called the Greyhound, with Bowling Alley, Brewhouse, piggery and other outbuildings on Crafton Street/Wharf Street in occupation of Daniel Gamble.’

On the 23rd of April 1869, Oliver Wilson was 40/- or one month for keeping house open after hours.
On the 28th of August 1869, Oliver Wilson had his licence refused at Brewster sessions for turning up in a state of intoxication.
