South East side recorded circa 1827-1895. An Everards house when the licence was surrendered and transferred to the as yet to be built Western. Owned by the Midland Southern & London Railway Co. (report from the Leicester Daily Post on the 22nd of August 1895).
Originally a bakers as well as serving ale. A Leicester Chronicle advert on the 3rd of August 1839, listed the pub to let, complete with bake house.
