Built in 1903, as Birmingham Provincial Bank, being used up until 1970 as various banks and insurance offices, in 1970 Pearl leased the building to Rudolphos Restaurant and in 1986 it became Hollywood Nights night club, obtaining a full licence. In 1989 it became Dome Nightclub, mainly a late night Rave House.
The building became vacant in1992. Three years later, the entrepreneurial Hussain brothers bought the building at auction, refurbishing with a Belgian theme. The interior design was lavish, with Art Nouveau screens.
Neo classical mouldings and opulent gilts, toped off with its ornately designed dome, Café Bruxelles became the place to go.
