Despite the amount of money thrown at it in improvements by the council, this side of Humberstone Gate never escaped its ‘rough’ image.


The bay window of the old Horse & Groom can be seen, the building now occupied by a mobile phone shop. This area never quite living up to or down (whichever way you looked at it) its 1950s-60s ‘vibe’.
