Final licence granted June 1896, George Matts Pettifor of Pettifors Brewery the owner and licensee, by November that year John Fitzhugh had been installed as licensee. 1897 Samuel Hefford was landlord. Marstons Brewery had become the owners c1900 when they purchased Pettifors Brewery.
