Circa 2008, the Phoenix Art Centre was built. It comprises cinemas (mostly showing ‘art house’ films), exhibitions, educational workshops and a friendly café bar where people can just drop in for a snack or drink.
Ultra Modern building, but a jewel in Leicester’s art scene, catering for alternative and creative films. Well worth a visit, plus serves real ale – often from local breweries. Top marks.
