Off New Parks Way top end of Western Park – Everards opened the Sportsman in 1978. The sign depicted Tom Wheatcroft in one of his vintage cars. Everards sold to Banks Brewery, who merged with Marstons.
As of writing, the Sportsman is still very much open for business.
