In the 2000s – it was also home to the Cornerstone Church of England. In 2014, the owners ASVA Ltd applied for planning permission to build seven houses on the site, diminishing the size of the pub. Eventually – after much objection – the plans were passed in July 2016.
Closed in September 2018 and offered for sale to community organisations.
