TREVINERS WINE BAR, HIGH STREET

Treviners Wine Bar (photo above), circa 1975 in High Street. Sign on right.

Never had the pleasure of going Treviners as I can remember, apparently quite popular at the time, any memories would be appreciated.

(from Leicester Born&Bred Jayne Wills-Facebook)

Tiger Milk a popular wine of the time.

SEVEN HURT AS BRAWL LEAVES TRAIL OF DAMAGE (Leicester Merc May 1982)

Seven people were taken to Hospital after a mass brawl broke out in Treviners Wine Bar, leaving a massive trail of damage, violence erupted just after 1am, police were called, four people arrested.

That’s what To much Tiger Milk does especially after ale.

Seemed to closed c1985. Romeo Chalenger of Showadywady opened a wine bar SLICKS c1986 not sure if it was ex Treviners or another spot on High St.
