1865-68 John Measures advertised himself as the ‘Great Gingerbread Baker, Good Accommodation baking for travelers’ this was listed as no 25 Fleet St, corner of Alfred St, so not sure if the photo refers to the beerhouse or Bakers, or if they were both the same.

In 1883, listed as beer seller and shopkeeper. A beer or is it Bakers ghost sign can be seen top left (photo above). By now (circa 1900), it was an offie.

In September 1843, John Haddon, beer house keeper of Fleet Street, was fined £2 for keeping a disorderly house.  John Haddon is again recorded as a beerhouse keeper in Fleet Street in 1846.

No name of the beer house is given in either case.
