Short lived, survived only a few years as a beerhouse, Alf Whitehead listed as licensee in 1875 when the licence was transferred to Maria Maybank.
June 1876 Maria transferred it to James Liquorish, by 1884 James was recording the Argyle Arms as an off licence and grocers when he handed over to Elizabeth Knight.
