Opened January 2000, by pub group Tynemill in Old Hosiery factory.
Over a thousand entries, from a competition set by the owners were considered, before settling on the Leicester Gateway, for their new pub, ignoring suggestions such as the Madhouse, (after Asylum St), The Lineker, Bobbing and Reel or the Darned Sock.
THE FONT, Gateway St.
The Leicester Gateway, was renamed The Font in c2010 and closed, July 2017.
THE GATE
Opened in September 2017.
