Photo below: View from Cank St with the ornate former Nat West Bank (St Martins Bank) which had stood empty for approximately twenty years when this photo was taken in 2014. The right of the opening to St Martins, in the foreground left, can be seen the Cankwell wall seating and plaque. The cank well was the site where people drew their water from since the middle ages.
A bar called 33 Cank Street opened in March 2014, as of writing, the lounge bar is still very much open for business.
