In the early 2000s a bar and dance club – Po Na Na opened in Careys Close. Once part of old Leicester this area is now largely obliterated and Careys Close stands behind the cathedral in the heart of the medieval city.
Po Na Na was part of a chain of bars and night clubs throughout the country that grew too quickly, its forty eight outlets were entered into administration in 2003.
