BLACK HORSE, 4 CHECKETTS ROAD

This stood just inside Checketts Road at no. 4, on the corner of Claremont Street. The end of the building on the right of the  picture  is the Champion (later Flamingo) Loughborough Road. The Black Horse can be seen with the hanging Ind Coope sign, previously an All Saints House.  It closed on the 17th of November 1959, being compulsory purchased some time after for road widening.
