WINSTANLEY ARMS, GLADE

One of the early estate pubs, pictured here in 1963.  It stands in the Glade, a street near the Kingsway off  Narborough Road.

Somewhat tucked away, picture taken from the Chase.
The pub underwent refurbishment in 2010

Second photo: Richard Everard, right at the unveiling of the refurbishment.  A typical Everards establishment: smart, if somewhat ‘corporate’ and unexciting.
