FRENCH REVOLUTION – BAR CODE – OLIVERZ, 4 GRANBY STREET (NORTH WEST)

Situated in an alley off Granby Street it ideally placed for late drink.  As the French Revolution in the 1970s, it was strictly speaking more of a night club as it only had a members club licence, although that was loosely applied.

After closing as the French Revolution, it remerged as Bar Code in 1994, with a chic continental style setting, complete with candles on the tables.  It also sold real ale.

It closed later in the 1990s.

By February 2015, it had opened its doors again, and now called Oliverz.

Oliverz

Oliverz’ small ground floor room meant little interior change from the  Bar Code. The outside was opened up somewhat, although the opening hours were now until 5.30 am, with all night dance catering for 150.

Oliverz was advertised up for sale, freehold, in May 2016.
