LORD BROUGHAM, HIGHCROSS STREET

Lord Brougham stood opposite the Pied Bull.  It was recorded in newspaper articles and court cases during the 1830s and 1840s and was run by Nathaniel Heap throughout this time.

March 1833, gaming case.  Other cases involve non payment in 1832, an assault case in 1837 and in 1841 Nathaniel Heap again for non payment.

Little is known of the Lord Brougham after that date.

Picture of the property opposite he Pied Bull, eventually demolished circa 2011 after standing empty for many years. Lord Brougham was in this run of buildings.
