Circa 1999. Took in the run that included Harlequin, Bananas and the Eating House.
Initially very busy, but the company opened another Walkabout in Granby Street, which saw the demise of the one in Humberstone Gate. After standing empty for some time the site eventually became an arts centre in 2013, but that soon folded as well.
It seemed that in this area of Humberstone Gate many bars and business’ very rarely take off since its hey-day when The Palais de Dance, was a great draw in the 1950’s -70’s, then Humberstone Gate was buzzing with life in the bars, from the 1980’s saw it’s gradual decline
