HUNTSMAN – MIYAKI BAR & RESTAURANT, 203 NARBOROUGH ROAD

Built just prior to 2nd World War, altered and extended in 1968.  Typical local, plodding along with quite a friendly bunch of regulars. The Hunstsman has been subject of the odd altercation in recent years as it was often used by football fans from away teams, bearing the nearest pub off the motorway and city’s ground.

“I only asked for my pint to be topped up”.

The Huntsman seems to have had a chequered past 20 years. A submissive tenant never works in this type of pub, which has also had many good managers often with a good atmosphere.

By 2018, the Huntsman was no more.  A major refit had occurred and it was now called the Miyaki Bar & Restaurant which specialises in African delicacies.
