DUCHESS OF KENT, SANVEY GATE

In November 1839, Thomas Wright assaulted Jon Mott, proprietor of the Duchess of Kent beer house.  On being refused a drink after time Wright battered the shutters before attempting to do the same to landlord Mott.  For his trouble Wright was fined 5/-.
