BRICKMAKERS ARMS, COLTON STREET

1830 Jonathan Wilson was running the Spread Eagle just around the corner from his Brickworks in top end of Colton St

One report so far of Jonathan Wilson, aged fifty-five running the Brickmakers Arms in Colton Street in 1835. he died aged 55 after a long and painful illness which he bore with ‘much christian fortitude’ he was well respected. on 25th August 1935,

Jonathan Wilson ran the Brickmakers Arms close to his Brickmaking yard in Upper Colton St,

IN August 1835 a notice to all creditors and debtors to contact the deceased wife Ann or Richard Wilson.

The Brickmaking Equipment & Works including horse & cart. was put up for sale a tear later in 1836,

June 1840 Richard Wilson charged with assaulting William Goddard after Goddard had hit Wilson on the head with a jug, case dismissed as assailant had struck the first blow.

Nov 1841 Stolen from Mr Burwell the Brickmakers Arms Colton St one brewing bucket,rJan 1840 Richard Wilson was charged with assaulting Wm Goddard after Goddard had thrown a jug at him and had hit him on the head in the Beickmakrs Arms -Northampton St-case dismissed as complainant had struck first blow.

Jan 1842 licence transferred from J Burwell to John Siddall

Now 1948 licence from John Siddall to Ann Wilson, after the Brickmakers and 14 tenaments and land in Colton St-St George St had been put up for Sale
